The beginning of February, the start of Sturgeon in the Sacramento River and Delta. (This fish is one of the most popular of the rivers) STURGEON are the "Big Game" of fresh water fishing -Quite a thrill to fight one of these massive fish.
Then in March one of my personal favorite...is the start of Striper season in the Feather and Sacramento rivers that will end in June. Lots of action! Clients could expect limits of fish taken daily.
May through June, a huge Shad run that is wonderfully great for beginning fishermen. Ultra light tackle and a ton of Shad. "The Steelies" or Steel Head and Trout move into the upper Feather River in September. The run last through November and is a Great time of year to be on the water, to enjoy hard fighting Trout & Steel Head!
